CCCM
At Tigray Youth Empowerment Solutions (TYES), our commitment
to improving the lives of internally displaced persons (IDPs) extends beyond a
single site. In addition to managing the IDP Site in Freweyni Town, Eastern
Zone, Tigray, since April 2023, we are proud to be actively involved in the
management of four other IDP Sites. These sites include Adihaki Secondary
School IDP Site, Alem Elementary School IDP Site, Hayelom Araya Elementary
School IDP Site, and Fenkil Preparatory School IDP Site.
Across these five sites, we prioritize the well-being and
specific needs of vulnerable groups, such as women, children, the elderly, and
persons with disabilities. We strive to create safe and empowering environments
that foster resilience and promote the dignity of all individuals affected by
displacement.
Through collaborative efforts with government authorities,
IDP committees, Clusters and partner organizations, we ensure effective communication,
harmonized service provision, and advocacy for the rights of IDPs at each of
these sites. Our dedicated team closely monitors service provision, coordinates
distribution efforts, and seeks innovative solutions to address the unique
challenges faced by each community.
Furthermore, we have established Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS)
and Women and Girls Friendly Spaces (WGFS) at Tourist Hotel IDP Sites. These
spaces provide children with opportunities for education, recreation, and
psychosocial support, while offering women and girls a safe haven to share
experiences, receive counseling, and acquire essential life skills.
At TYES, our ongoing efforts in managing these multiple IDP
Sites reflect our unwavering commitment to empowering lives, fostering
resilience, and creating a brighter future for all individuals affected by
displacement.
