Training Date: June 9-13/2023
Training place: Mekelle
TYES is an independent nationally registered humanitarian organization that has been working on emergency response across its intervention areas in collaboration with Regional Health Bureau, UNICEF, and other relevant partners. The current regional urgency for humanitarian services has been the main pull factor that compelled TYES and management to act addressing critical humanitarian (developmental at the same time) challenges at the hands of the ruins of conflict. Partly its corporate mandate and largely an existential urgency that threatens the very public TYES posits to serve in development areas, TYES has been actively supporting the health sector, protection, GBV, education, and WASH to mention few. In the same fashion, TYES has recently undertaken RCCE interventions integrated with the other complementary interventions. The organization has been implementing RCCE in selected woredas as per agreed provisions of its operational plan. TYES’ project implementation track record is one of successful with impacts so relevant, visible, and responsive to the ongoing humanitarian challenges in the region. On the course of implementation, TYES leverages its engagement by joining hands with the community of practice operating in Tigray region. Additionally, TYES functionally engages partners to deeply imbed achievements for a future/sustainable uptake.
TYES has Conducted a training for community leaders and volunteers and advocacy work shop for local administrative and other influential leaders, as well as community mobilization/community engagement on COVAX vaccination integrated with other maternal, neonatal, child, adolescent health (MNCAH) activities in the selected zones ( Southern, South east and Mekelle zones) of Tigray.
Parallel to the advocacy campaign for community figures, Tigray Youth Empowerment Solutions (TYES) in collaboration with and Tigray Regional Health Bureau and UNICEF conducted ‘demand creation promotion training’ for media professionals from private and public media agencies and government line offices press experts, and RHB line offices personnel from all woredas in Mekelle, Southern and South-Eastern zones.
