Tigray Youth Empowerment Solutions (TYES) is a distinguished non-profit organization spearheading youth development initiatives in Ethiopia. Established by a group of committed professionals, TYES demonstrates agility in addressing both regional developmental needs and emergency responses within Tigray. The organization is officially registered with the Ministry of Justice, operating seamlessly across Tigray, Afar, and Addis Ababa.

Our comprehensive programs, ranging from child care and education to entrepreneurship and health, underscore our dedication to addressing key youth-related concerns. With a strategically placed headquarters in Mekelle and satellite offices in various locations, TYES stands as a beacon of empowerment, guiding youth towards productive citizenship, sustainable income generation, healthy lifestyles, and a global perspective.

Organizational Structure and Governance

The Board of Governors of TYES approved the organizational structure of Humanitarian, Economic, and Social and Rights-based settings for coordination. The main objective of the structural reorganization of TYES is to establish effective coordination of its activities and to create an enabling working environment in which each unit clearly understands its specific role, duties, and responsibilities in implementing the activities of TYES. TYES is responsible for initiating, designing, and coordinating humanitarian, social, and development programs/projects focused on youth empowerment.

T-YES is a board-led organization, with an assigned chief executive officer (CEO). It also has founding and honorary members and volunteers with heterogeneous professions. TYES applies the country's and universal legal instruments in implementing all its interventions. Most of the interventions are also carried out through volunteers who seek improvement in the livelihood of youth in Afar, Tigray, and Addis Ababa.
